Pictures from the new Russian Sherlock Holmes TV series which apparently is Victorian! (yes, this is news to me, that this will be Victorian)

It stars Igor Petrenko (Sherlock Holmes), Andrey Panin (Watson), Mikhail Boyarsky (Lestrade).

The series is due to release in 2012-2013.

I have to admit I really like Igor Petrenko as Holmes in these pictures. Handsome as hell. <3 We’ll see what he will bring to this character… Very big shoes to fill for him left by Vasily Livanov.

Boyarsky’s playing Lestrade! Sweeet, he was in like half the movies I watched growing up. He’s a fabulous singer. Maybe they’ll give Lestrade a musical number. Is there a Sherlock Holmes musical yet?
